Free Presentation Coaching From Microsoft

Wouldn’t it be awesome to have your own personal presentation coach to help you make the best of that speech you have to make, or that presentation you have to give at the office? With Microsoft’s “Presenter Coach” add in for PowerPoint, you can get real time advice and feedback on your presentations.

The program will track when you use filler words such as “um” or “like”, and it will give you a tailored dashboard of information about your presentation. It tells the amount of time spent, the slides rehearsed, your words per minute, and whether or not you read directly from your slides. You can rehearse as many times as you like until you have achieved the optimal statistics for your presentation.

The uses for this add on are infinite. Students who are afraid to practice in front of a live audience, first time teachers worried that their lesson will sound awkward, or just anyone who needs to give a presentation and is nervous about public speaking, or simply wants to do their best work. This is a tool all should know about and take full advantage of.
