The end of the Expo Marker?

For decades, chalk and whiteboards have been a cornerstone of the American education system. Since the dawn of the technological era, old classroom traditions have become digitized and the erasable board is no exception.

Applications

Utilization in the Classroom

  • Allows students to all collaborate on one space
  • In the event of student absences, there are video call, and work from home capabilities
  • Supply lists will become smaller because there is no need for dry erase markers or erasers

Benefits

  • With these applications, teachers and students can collaborate in real time
  • Students struggling in subjects such as math can view teachers doing example problems in real time
  • Teachers can use these digital whiteboards along with a screen recorder to help create lectures that can be re-watched after class
  • Recorded lectures can be shared globally and increase access to information
