The Intouchables

I watched the movie “The Intouchables” and was touched by the movie. Although I am an English speaker and the movie was in French, I put subtitles on and could understand what was going on. The movie was about a man in a wheelchair who needed a caretaker. He hires a man named Driss, and although very different from one another, they form a bond like no other.

Throughout the movie, there were many similarities and differences between the French movie and my life here in America. For one, they often traveled on trains as that is the staple in European countries, whereas here, people usually travel using cars. They also went on walks often for entertainment rather than watching a movie or going on their phones. As for similarities, most of what they did culturally was similar to things we do in America.

Although placed in a different country, the culture and everyday life was not much different to that of America.
