Virtual Reality in Education

Technology has taken huge step and is impacting schools all over the world. Although some teachers believe in a simple pencil and paper classroom, virtual reality is taking over in education. Virtual reality in a classroom setting can be so beneficial to the students as well as the teachers trying to get their message or lesson across. In this article, from the School of Education online program, expresses how virtual reality can “spark creativity” and inspire students in all different ways. During my research, I learned that virtual reality and other technologies can help students in more than one subject. Geometry can be taught in a whole new way using VR by showing 3D shapes and allowing students to see more angles and all sides. VR can provide different cultures and languages to the students and help become more culturally diverse in the classroom. Technology has become such a big part of education and we must keep creating better and more advance technology to keep up with the changing world around us. Teachers from all over are making a change and using more and more technology to help their students grow and learn in new ways.
