In this week’s chapter of our textbook, the authors introduced “WE”, an organization that encourages students to use their voice. I really appreciated the number of resources they had available for teachers and students. The pdf files they had available covers a variety of important topics like inclusivity, mental health, and many others. These topics are very important to cover in schools at an early age, because it will prepare children for more aspects of life than typical schools do now. The “WE” website has many comprehensive kits that contain great resources for students. For teachers they manuals (pdfs) for that are very thorough and cover every aspect of the topic in question. I think it’s great that they explain in great depth each topic and that each of these sources is extensive and contain a lot of valuable knowledge. I will definitely be reading some of these, not only for my personal learning, but to use in my future classroom.
