Hyperdocs, The tool with many uses!

I have never heard of hyperdocs until recently being introduced to it in Web tools. Hyperdocs is a great tool that helps to put the learning into the hands of the student. Students can go through google slides, docs, etc, and click on links to help further their learning. These documents would have information and links pertaining to what the teacher wants them to learn/do.

You can find so many hyperdocs to use in your own classroom online. Teachers share free hyperdocs that they have used for their own lessons. I found a hyperdoc that can be used in a lesson about everyone in unique.

The hyperdoc is called This is me. I found it on a website that I found through my teacher’s Twitter account. It uses the movie “The Greatest Showman” to help teach a lesson about how everyone is unique and special in their own way.

This video was shown to start off the lesson in the hyperdoc!

It has videos for the student to watch and questions that correlate. Also, students are asked to create a project with an app of their choice that displays who they are. Then in a google classroom students are to post and respond to their peer’s work.

I like this lesson this hyperdoc creates because it can create an inclusive classroom. Students with special needs can create a project to share things about themselves so their peers can better understand them.

I would definitely use hyperdocs in my own classroom. They are a great tool that can teach so many lessons without having to stand at the board in a traditional sense. It is a great option for students!
