Edpuzzle and Google Document Hyperdocs

After reviewing the given Hyperdoc PowerPoint, I was able to develop a strong liking for two types of Hyperdocs. The first one that I found to be interesting was the use of Edpuzzle. I have enjoyed the videos that are assigned on Edpuzzle and have learned when answering each open-ended question that goes with the video. This encourages the student to watch the entire video and pay attention to what is being asked. In my opinion, I feel as if students click through, and do not pay attention to what is being taught. This tool requires the child to watch the entire film and answer certain questions either in the middle of the video or at the end. Edpuzzle can be used in any subject, as well. I found an example of an Edpuzzle that taught the students how to multiply fractions. There are sample problems where the students could either complete on their own or work together. They would be able to communicate and interact with each other.

To add, I also enjoy Hyperdocs that are in a Google Doc format. Many students are familiar with google and how Gmail, documents, slides, and forms work. This helps the process of the assignment move a little more seamlessly. There was one example within the PowerPoint, called Ted-Ed Web. First, the students watch a Ted talk video and is followed by checking out a website about kids in nature and then, students are required to answer an educational question. They are learning by watching a video, reading an article, and answering an assessment question. The students are teaching themselves, while listening and viewing other people.

There are so many different Hyperdoc options and I plan on incoprorating these tools into my classroom. This would still teach my students, but allow them to experience a different approach at the content!
