This week, I am taking a virtual field trip to Africam. Africam is a website dedicated to showcasing Africa’s wildlife. They have free live streams of different parts of their safari that show different animals.

There are different tabs on the website to explore. There are live streams, shows, videos, photos, and a chat room. Viewers can watch videos picked out by safari experts or view professional photos of different animals.

I think this would be a great field trip for students to participate in. It could be used in every subject. Personally, I would use it as an activity for my students to write an informative piece. They could choose an animal and from observation write an informational short essay on the animal of their choice.
