In Todos Lo Saben the main character Laura and her two children travel from Argentina to Spain to attend her sister’s wedding. She reunites with old friends and family in Madrid by the old church she frequently attended as a child. The church began to degrade due to old age and the dry weather. This film frequently showed Madrid Spain as slightly windy and sunny daily. It appeared to be the season of spring. Laura’s wealthy husband Alejandro paid for church repairs for the wedding ceremony. Before the ceremony began family and friends greeted each other with a kiss on the cheek of loved ones. That is a traditional greeting in European countries. The entire family was of the catholic faith. After the wedding celebration, everyone gathers at a nearby restaurant where they feast, dance and celebrate their best wishes to the bride and groom. One thing is must mention is that this movie showed off how mountainous and old fashioned Madrid was. It is old fashioned and modern at the same time because it is not as polluted and noisy as New York City. Madrid is a quiet city where vegetation such as trees and bushes adorned street corners and shops. Major cities in the U.S lack any kind of trees or plants. They are far more industrial than old cities such as Madrid. Laura and her family walked around while in the city but if they visited a friend outside of the city they rented a used car. Laura’s daughter Irene goes missing during the after party. Authorities find evidence that Irene was kidnapped from her room while family and friends were active in the wedding festivities unaware of what happened at home.
