Collaboration Via PowerPoint

The PowerPoint presentation application has announced a new form of sharing controls when presenting that will make presentations over meetings more efficient. I had found a tweet regarding this new tool and the author of this tweet posted a Youtube video demonstrating the easy way to share controls of a PowerPoint presentation in a Team Meeting.

Presentations are a huge part of public education for sole reasons of developing team work accountability and enforcing a positive working environment among students. Since virtual learning has become the norm due to the COVID-19 pandemic, students and teachers have had to switch on the drop of a hat to an online platform that still creates a positive work environment. The new tool that allows multiple people to control slide transitions will allow for fewer hiccups during online Teams Meet presentations. The presenter of the slideshow can now add more team members to control transitioning the slides. This is especially helpful for presentations where different people need time to speak and will have to interupt the actual presentation to indicate flipping to the next slide.

There has been a significant development in the world of technology to make virtual learning run more smoothly and this is just one of the tools that has made the lives of students easier. This pandemic has opened the world for different educational tools to emerge in the world of technology. This share control tool through the Team Meeting application with Microsoft is extremely interesting and I cannot wait to use this in my classroom someday!
