Pencil Of Promise’s New School

In Laos, one of the poorest countries in Southeast Asia, 27% of people are illiterate. This is believed to be caused by a lack of infrastructure. Pencil of Promise works with communities in Laos to improve education, and has impacted over 13,000 students so far.

Pencil of Promise, known as POP, has built over 104 schools and has trained teachers to help provide quality education for the underprivileged students.

This specific post is dedicated to recognize the help POP received in opening their newest school, which will serve hundreds of students over the course of its lifetime. They say they owe it all to the volunteers and communities that helped provide labor and funding to build the three-classroom school, called the Som Sonouk Pre and Primary school.
