While scrolling through twitter for an assignment, I found this tweet talking about the new things being introduced to Microsoft Whiteboard. It got me thinking how important creativity is to a learning student. Also in the regards of being able to properly express themselves and make the art they envisioned come to life.

Students often don’t think being creative or expressing yourself is vital to your education or problem solving skills. The fact of the matter is that it is very important for each and every one student to expand their mind. Creativity offers more than just making art it can help relaxation and make you see things from different perspectives.

As discovering my admiration for art in high school it often upset me people referring to it as dying. It often felt people were close minded about art as a class too, classmates often messed around and didn’t take it seriously considering it just a requirement or an “easy A” which caused a lack in specific medium. All of this just made my love for many different types of mediums stronger and want me to explore more.

If people truly saw how much a difference creativity in many forms can change your life, I think it would change how people thought of art in general. It feels especially important growing up now art and creativity feels like my escape from reality.
