For those of you who don’t know the United Nations have 17 goals in place called Sustainable Development Goals, aka SDG. They range from ending poverty to creating partnerships and many things in-between. To learn more about all of the goals you can visit the SDG page on the United Nations website.

The second goal the UN has is to end world hunger and along with that achieve food security and improved nutrition while promoting sustainable agriculture. Taking into account that we are currently in a global pandemic, food insecurity rates are rising even faster. Since all of the goals are interconnected, this effects more than just food insecurity but many of the other goals the UN has.
