Marquetta Alexander

Special Educator/Curriculum Writer

As an educator with more than seventeen years of experience, I continue to find passion in the challenges of leading in Paterson Public Schools, the third largest school district in New Jersey.  I served in several roles starting with teacher of computer applications for seven years, second and fifth grade math teacher for three years, technology coordinator for two years, teacher coordinator for just under four years, and then as school-based supervisor for one year before returning to the classroom due to massive budget cuts, where I now serve in the department of special education.  While some would view this as a devastating set-back; it has been the exact opposite.  For the first time in years I was forced to slow down and catch up with who I am today.  After two recent and major losses of very dear and close loved ones (my parents), my desire to explore new possibilities has far exceeded my typical daily interactions.  I developed a hunger for something more… something fresh.  I needed to be challenged in a very different way before returning to a higher stake leadership role.  For me, this involves exploring new leadership perspectives while meeting new people and forming new and meaningful networks.  Although I continue to enjoy teaching, I am also enjoying this new journey of self-discovery.  Teaching and learning are sacred pathways as you cannot have one without the other, and having the opportunity to do both is amazing.

Monica Amadio

Amadio has accrued more than 15 years’ experience as an educator in information technology and STEAM (Science Technology Engineering Art & Math) at the Atlantic County Institute of Technology. She also developed and taught classes in Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy. In 2006, Amadio was one of 10 Information Technology professionals selected by the National Academy Foundation (NAF), a NYC-based non-profit for education reform founded by Citigroup Chairman Emeritus, Sanford Weill, to develop curriculum affecting more than 20,000 students annually nationwide. She has a passion for vocational education and a firm belief that students must be prepared for both college and career with an emphasis on career preparation. Amadio was named Senior VP of Information Technology and Project Lead for CollegeWorks USA from QuantumCash, LLC. Amadio participated in all aspects of the foundation of the company including technology integration, system architecture, security, database development, vendor procurement, business administration, marketing and branding. As an alumnus of Elon University's Martha and Spencer Love's School of Business in North Carolina, Amadio has a solid background in business administration and international management. In 2012, Amadio also earned a Master's Degree in School Administration with a focus on Organizational Management from Rowan University. Monica started as a web designer in 1997 and has maintained clients ever since. Her company, Amadio Enterprises, LLC, operates businesses as MarketPowerApps.com, MarketPowerDomains.com, MarketPowerHosting.com and Amadio Media.

Angela Bianchini

Director of Cashiering

Angela Bianchini serves as the Director of Cashiering at Caesars Casino in Atlantic City, where she has worked for 4 years. Prior to working at Caesars, Angela held various positions within the Coin and Cashiering departments at Showboat Casino, where she worked for 11 years. She enjoys working in the casino industry because it allows her to interact with a diverse group of individuals and presents her with the opportunity to tackle an array of challenges. Angela was first hired at Showboat as a seasonal coin cashier at a summer job fair held at Stockton University while earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Management. After completing her undergraduate degree, Angela completed the Master of Business Administration program at Stockton. Angela resides in her hometown of Little Egg Harbor with her wickedly hilarious husband Joe, who fully supports Angela’s doctoral journey… just as long as it does not interfere with their annual anniversary trip to Jamaica.

Tina Bridda

Special Education Teacher

My name is Tina Bridda and I have been a very Special Educator for 15 years. Currently, I am in Middle School with the Resource Center but have previously worked for seven years in Autism Support. I also spent three years with Camden County Educational Services Commission in a Regionalized Pre-School Autism Program. No stranger to Stockton, I filled my NJ Supervisor requirements here in 2013 and my daughter is also an honor student entering her Senior year in Biology. I completed both my Master's degree in Education and Bachelor of Arts at Widener University. I live with my husband of 20 years, and our two children (21 and 15) in Gloucester Township, as well. We enjoy our small 'farm' and raise honeybees, chickens and grow various fruits and vegetables. I am also a member of Camden County AAUW, the Gloucester Township Day Scholarship Committee and other local groups who advocate for individuals with special needs. I am very excited to be a part of this cohort and look forward to our doctoral journey.

Lapell Chapman

School Administrator

The job of an educator cannot be confined to a particular schedule or work shift. Much of the real work begins after the bell rings and the children are gone. The current state of education places a heavy burden on teachers, faculty and staff, with little reward. The path of an educator is an arduous one; it requires a passion for children and a desire to improve the communities we work/live in and society as a whole. My adult path began as a soldier in the United States Army. My time there taught me discipline and gave me exposure to people from all over the country. This is where I began to understand the dynamics and structure of an organization and how people function in it. The experiences and knowledge gained during that time would prove to be life changing. From there I returned home to begin my secondary education studies as a student at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Simultaneously, I was an employee of the Pleasantville School District and the Seaview Marriott. I also completed my commitment to the New Jersey Army National Guard as a Personnel Service Specialist. Its amazing how my life has progressively come full circle. I am now a post-graduate student at the “Distinctive” Stockton University, attending classes at Stockton Seaview Hotel and servicing students in the district where I was cultivated into the adult that I am today! That’s not were it ends. I am fortunate enough to have my own business from a hobby I enjoy very much. As a videographer and audio/visual specialist for Coastal Media Solutions, I have been able to provide services for many business, organizations and individuals. I have worked with the City of Pleasantville, Egg Harbor Township Youth Organization, Hope for Liberia, Princess INC., Macedonia United Methodist Church and Harborfields, to name a few. None of this labor has been without reward. I have recently remarried and share my life with a beautiful wife and four children. Our blended family is truly grounded by our religious beliefs and we continue to share with others, volunteer our time and are dedicated to seeing children from all over the Atlantic county area succeed. While the journey is not complete, I look forward to the next chapter that begins with becoming a great leader through the Stockton Organizational Leadership program!

Amanda Copes

Director, Speech and Hearing Clinic - Stockton University

I am a proud alumna of Stockton University where I earned my B.S. in Speech Pathology and Audiology and then continued my education at West Chester University in PA where I earned my M.A. in Communication Disorders. I have been a licensed, certified speech-language pathologist for over 15 years, beginning my career as a school-based clinician before moving to higher education in 2011 when I joined the Stockton community as the director of the Stockton University Speech and Hearing Clinic. I am a person who enjoys life and all it has to offer; after all, happiness is a journey, not a destination. I take great pride in teaching and connecting with my students in ways that motivate them to be better versions of themselves as humans and as future speech-language pathologists. I also have a strong commitment to the families I serve within the Speech and Hearing Clinic, and I hope to continue fostering those relationships for many years to come. I feel very fortunate and humbled to be part of Cohort 3 – surrounded by “my people” and learning something new about myself as a leader with every conversation I have with my fellow classmates or my professors in the Ed.D. program. I know this program will help me take my job performance to the next level by enhancing the quality of the work I’m already doing. I believe it will also help me be a better person by teaching me about myself – my strengths and my weaknesses – and how to continue to cultivate and sustain relationships so that I too can continue to grow.

Darlyne de Haan

I am the co-founder and Executive Director of Mad About Science, and currently a Middle School Vice-Principal. I have enjoyed a career as a former Instructional Specialist for the NJ Department of Education, Forensic Scientist and Environmental Chemist. I possess over 20 years experience in STEM education and am the co-creator of PLASMA-BOTICS- A STEM program where robotics is used as the medium to stimulate student interest in math and science. I love conducting professional development for teachers and administrators from math and science instruction to teaching strategies for teaching English Language Learners students in the General Education Classroom, because I believe to empower teachers is to empower students. I have presented at many conferences both at the National and State levels, including NCTM, SDE, and the New Jersey Department of Education. I love learning languages. I consider myself proficient in Spanish and Dutch,but I am going for mastery. I hold two Masters degrees in Education; Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership and a bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry and mathematics. I have two wonderful adult children, and have been married for 35 years. I love physical challenges and have recently faced a fear of heights by starting indoor rock climbing.

Natalie Devonish

Assistant Director, Student Support Services

Natalie was born and raised in Atlantic City, New Jersey, where she currently resides. She is a proud product and graduate of the Atlantic City Public School system. As a result, Natalie pledges to revive her community by mentoring youth to strive for higher levels of success through education, leadership development, and community service. Wanting to pursue higher education, she took the academic skills obtained in the Atlantic City Public School System to Rutgers University. There she earned her undergraduate degree in Business Management. Motivated to take the next step educationally, Natalie matriculated as a graduate student at Farleigh Dickinson University, where she obtained a Master of Science Degree in Administrative Science/Leadership. In addition to her advanced educational degrees, Natalie still continues to value furthering her education. She has received certificates in Law and Public Safety, Human Resource Administration, Global Leadership, and certifications in Solid Waste Management and Employment Law. Natalie is currently employed by Atlantic Cape Community College as the Assistant Director of Student Support Services where her main responsibility is to assist low-income, disabled and first-generation students to fulfill their educational dreams. Natalie’s passion for giving back to the community is reflected in her service with a number of civic and community organizations. She serves on JDAI’s (Juvenile Detention Alternative Initiative) Community Engagement Committee, The Community Think Tank; and her proudest accomplishment is serving as Program President for the Youth Exposure enrichment and mentoring program. She was also selected to participate in the Lead Atlantic City Tomorrow program in 2012, and is now actively on the Steering Committee for future programming. Natalie has received several recognitions for her community involvement including the 2016 NAACP Community Service Award, 2012 Atlantic City Rotary New Generations Award, the 2012 Title 1 Parent Resource Center Trendsetter Award, City of Atlantic City Future Leader Award and receiving the recognition of the Top 40 Under 40 honor by the Greater Atlantic City Jaycees organization. Natalie’s long-term goals are to eventually own and operate several businesses and to mentor 1000 students within the next 20 years.

Daniel J. Douglas

Director of Communications

Daniel J. Douglas serves as Director of Strategic Communications at Stockton University, having previously served as Director of the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy, and the Director of Communications for Stockton. Prior to joining Stockton, Dan served as Public Information Officer for the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority in Atlantic City. Previously, Dan worked at three institutions of higher education including Rutgers University (New Brunswick and Camden campuses), Seton Hall University and Eastern Michigan University. Dan also was vice president of an e-learning company that provided custom course development and project management services to universities and corporations. Dan served as the Assistant Commissioner of Personnel for the State of New Jersey, responsible for Communications, Public and Government Affairs, Workforce Policy and Planning, and the Human Resource Training and Development Institute. The Institute had 225 employees in 38 locations and provided training to over 75,000 state employees. He also served as Policy Advisor to the Governor of New Jersey, and has held staff positions in the New Jersey Legislature, a public interest association and a public opinion research firm. As the Governor’s representative, he led the State Planning Commission to the completion of the first State Development and Redevelopment Plan. Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Arts from Rutgers University, where he was a Fellow at the Eagleton Institute of Politics.

Joshua Eckersley

Teacher of Mathematics

Josh Eckersley is currently entering his fifth year as an eighth-grade mathematics teacher at Central Regional Middle School. During his tenure at his alma mater, Josh has been involved in many extra-curricular activities in school such as running the middle school's annual talent show, co-directing the middle school drama production, running the school's math and science fair and restructuring his curriculum all before receiving tenure. Additionally, Josh has been extremely involved in his union at a local, county, state and national level. Josh serves several roles at many levels in his association as a member of his local representative council, local public relations chairperson, a member of his county Legislative Action Team, County Action Team, Emerging Leaders, NJEA Working Conditions Committee, NEA Young Professionals Caucus, NJEA Summer Fellowship Program and has rallied and lobbied multiple times in front of the State Capitol as well as other locations across the state, and has testified in front of the State Board of Education. Josh is an alumnus of what was formerly known as the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey (now known as Stockton University), earning his BS in Mathematics, BA in Education and MA in Education with a concentration in mathematics content and instruction. Josh is a life-long learner and puts passion and enthusiasm into everything he does. Before becoming and educator, Josh was a commission sales professional for 9 years.

Anne Louise Flynn

Principal, Little Egg Harbor, NJ

It is my honor to work as the building principal of the Robert C. Wood, Sr. Early Childhood Center. We service children aged three to five and their families. We are often the first school experience for both the children and their families. I take my role very seriously and work to truly educate the "whole child" while building strong relationships between program teachers, staff, and families. These strong relationships will become a foundation for our students as they start and continue their education. Prior to working as a building principal I was a supervisor for grades P-2, a Reading Recovery teacher, Basic Skills teacher, and Grade 2 teacher. In my work and personal life I strive to live by Maya Angelou's words, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

John Froonjian

Senior Research Associate

My name is John Froonjian. I manage the Stockton (University) Polling Institute at the William J. Hughes Center for Public Policy. Before joining Stockton in late 2011, I was a politics and investigative reporter for The Press of Atlantic City. As a reporter, I represented the paper as it partnered with Stockton to conduct its first election polling as well as candidate debates, so there's a nice connection between my past and current work lives. Also, as a reporter, I covered and wrote about then-Congressman and Ambassador Hughes, a talented, competent and ethical public servant. I live in Camden County with my wife and with my three children, all of whom are also in college. I estimate that our collective tuition and student loans will be paid off by my estate in 2075! In my spare time, I enjoy making red wine at a wine-making school in Cherry Hill.

Karl Giulian

I am currently an assistant professor of business at Atlantic Cape Community College. While I teach a variety of business classes, I specialize in business management. At Atlantic Cape, I also serve as the Area Coordinator for Professional Studies with my primary duties in adjunct scheduling. I am also an adjunct professor of business at Stockton University. I truly enjoy being in the classroom. I work hard to bring a dynamic classroom experience for my students. Simultaneous to being a professor, I own and operate a small business. I started my real estate/condominium management business in 1989. The business has endured a variety of different successes and challenges. These “real life” experiences have been one of the key elements to my teaching success as I can relate my texts book to the real business world. I earned a BS in Management from Penn State (1987) and a MBA from Monmouth University (1992). I enjoy living in Stone Harbor, NJ with my wife, Amy and our 4 children (Robert- 16, Catherine- 15, Karl -14, David-12). I happily serve as a volunteer for the SH Fire Department, a Sunday School Teacher and a Youth Football and Baseball Coach. I am an avid Philadelphia sports team fan.

Robert Heinrich

Chief Information Officer

Since 1998, Robert Heinrich has spent his professional career as a committed member of the Higher Education community and is currently serving as the Chief Information Officer at Stockton University.   Robert provides strategic leadership for the administration, implementation and planning of technology resources to advance the academic, administrative, research and outreach activities of the University.  As a member of the senior leadership team, Robert works collaboratively with his cabinet colleagues to promote the use of data analytics to improve student achievement and support strategic decision making.    As the University has recently expanded and grown, Robert has worked to increase and enhance institutional technology support resources to benefit all members of the community. In support of Student success, Robert serves as co-chair of the ADA/504 steering committee, a moderator of the Campus Hearing Board as well as the Bias Response Team.  Robert frequently represents Stockton University at regional professional conferences and regularly provides presentations on topics including Cybersecurity, Classroom Design Principles, and Strategic Technology Leadership. Robert is currently the co-chair of the New Jersey CIO Forum. Robert serves as an adjunct faculty member at Stockton University and Ocean County Community College. He regularly conducts technology workshops for Continuing Studies, ETTC/SRI, NJEA and NJEdge. Additionally, Robert serves as a member of the Atlantic County Technology Coordinators Board and serves as a member of the Atlantic County Institute of Technology Advisory Board. Robert had the privilege of serving as a member of the Board of Education within the Little Egg Harbor School District for three years, including one year as Board President. Robert is a 2011 Fellow of the Leadership New Jersey Program.   In addition to his role at Stockton University, Robert has served as a consultant for several K- 12 School Districts and other Higher Educational Institutions to assist with Technology and Infrastructure Planning. In addition to working towards a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership, he earned a Master of Business Administration, as well as a Bachelor of Computer Science and Information Systems both from Stockton University.

Paul Herron

CEO of Gilda’s Club South Jersey

Paul Herron is the CEO of Gilda’s Club South Jersey, a cancer support organization which psychosocial , community, emotional support to everyone who is impacted by cancer. Paul has great experience in working in the non-profit sector, including leadership roles in healthcare, the environment, and the arts. Most recently, Paul was the Executive Director of the Bay Atlantic Symphony, where he helped the orchestra expand programming and education projects throughout southern New Jersey. Paul also served as the Administrator of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Stratford, Camden County, and as the Chief Financial Officer at Community Healthcare (now Complete Care) in Cumberland County. Paul has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Stockton University, where he is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Organizational Leadership. He resides in Egg Harbor Township with his wife Patricia. Paul is a co-host of a classical music podcast on iTunes named Your Classical Coffee Break.

Felicia Hyman-Medley

Principal

Felicia is a native of Pleasantville, New Jersey. After graduating from Holy Spirit High School, she attended the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and graduated with a BA degree in Political Science with a minor in African American Studies. She went on to obtain a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. Felicia taught third grade at Leeds Avenue School and later became Vice Principal at Pleasantville High School & the Middle School of Pleasantville. Presently, she holds a position of Principal at the South Main Street School of Pleasantville. She is happily married to Lamar Medley Sr. Most importantly, she is a proud mother of son Lamar Medley Jr. and daughter Londyn Medley. It is her mission to instill the importance of education to her children so they too will reach & exceed the levels she has achieved. Also, she places great value in the relationships such as her external family Juanita Hyman (mother), Dr. Lakecia Hyman (sister), Ashlee Gonzales (sister) and Nia Meeks (niece) in addition to her sister-friends and extended brothers. Felicia has always been involved in the Pleasantville community especially as a youth advocate. She is looked up to by many youth in Pleasantville and is known for her compassion for helping others. Her belief is that all youth can achieve their dreams with hard work and determination. Felicia has occupied many leadership roles and overcame many obstacles along the way. She always remind the children that if she succeeded in life, they can too! She maintains that the youth are the epitome of life and should be nurtured by receiving a quality education and guidance throughout their educational career. Felicia's motto is "All children can learn and excel academically in life if we as educators prepare them but most importantly believe in them.” Felicia is a proud doctoral candidate in Stockton University's Organizational Leadership Program. She plans to utilize the knowledge gained from this program to be a change agent in her organization as well as future leadership roles.

Jeannine Ingenito

Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant

I am Jeannine Ingenito and I recently accepted a Learning Consultant position with Egg Harbor Township Schools. Previously, I was a Special Education Teacher in Mullica Township for 14+ years. In 2010 I earned my Master’s degree in Special Education, from Stockton. My Bachelor of Science degree was earned in 1997 from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Before entering the world of education I worked in retail banking for Mellon PSFS and I also have a decade worth of retail management experience. My husband, two dogs, and I reside in Galloway Township. Once I earned my Masters, I thought I was finished with my education…never say never. I am a very proud member of the Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership Cohort #1.

Brittany Jenniss

Assistant Director of Academic Advising

Brittany Jenniss is Assistant Director of Academic Advising at Stockton University. She currently holds a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Leadership and Administration from Capella University, a Bachelor’s Degree in English from Rowan University, and an Associate’s Degree in Literature from Atlantic Cape Community College. Mrs. Jenniss has worked in various capacities in the Center for Academic Advising. She began her work in the department by working on the Disengaged Adults Returning to College (DARC) grant in which she developed a program at Stockton titled “ReEngaging Adult Learners (REAL)” which provided textbooks, technology rentals, and tuition assistance to returning adult students who had not yet completed their Bachelors’ degrees. She began advising in 2015 and was promoted to Assistant Director in 2017. She advises several hundred students and serves as preceptor to many undecided and Health Science students. She works closely with students in academic jeopardy and developed a workshop course targeted to shepherd dismissed and reinstated students through their journey to good academic standing. Most recently, she serves as a project lead to bring the new Degree Works degree audit and advising software to Stockton. As a young adult, Mrs. Jenniss founded and managed a non-profit, competitive cheerleading organization for low income families. She considers leadership to be inherent to her character and has found herself in leadership positions throughout her life thus far. She is confident that this program will stretch her capacities and strengths as a leader to enable her to strive toward her greatest potential. In her spare time, she teaches Pre-K Children’s Church at Coastal Christian in her new hometown of Ocean City, New Jersey. She also enjoys traveling with her husband, hunting, and spending time with her niece and nephew.

Kate N. Juliani

I have been working at Stockton University in the School of Education program since 2008. I was the Office Manager then grew to become the Education Counselor & Services Specialist a few years later. Being a guidance counselor/academic advisor to all future teachers is a true joy for me. Prior to the School of Education I worked in the Human Resources and Labor Relations departments of another state facility, Woodbine Developmental Center. I began my journey at Stockton by earning both my BA in Psychology, then my MA in Instructional Technology. This recent pursuit of earning the Ed.D. Organizational Leadership is a thrill and am loving the whole process and each of my fellow students that are walking along with me.

Wally Kappeler

I am currently serving as the Chief School Administrator of the Maurice River Township School District in Port Elizabeth, NJ, where "everyone is special. We believe it and we live it." I also serve as the program director for the First Star Academy at Rowan University. I have also had the pleasure of serving as a Principal for Millville Public Schools, Executive Director of the First Star UCLA Bruin Academy at UCLA in Los Angeles, Elementary Supervisor of the Little Egg Harbor School District, Assistant Athletic Director and Head Men's Volleyball Coach at Lancaster Bible College, Assistant Principal at Fairfield Township Schools, and Health and Physical Educator in Camden City. I received my M.Ed. in School Leadership from Wilmington University in 2004 and a B.S. in Health and Physical Education in 1996 from Trenton State College. I believe that teaching is another way of learning, so I’ve chosen to be an educator. Currently, I am employed as an ESL teacher at ELS, AC, located at Stockton University. The beauty of my job is that I teach students who come to the US from overseas, and they, like me, are strangers to this country. I was born and raised in Ukraine. After I graduated from the University of Ostroh Academy, founded in 1576, with a degree in foreign languages, I started discovering the world. My first stop was Germany. I spent over two years in that beautiful country challenging myself in different ways. Within those two years, I managed to work as an au-pair, barista, waitress, and as a clerk in the Consulate General of Ukraine in Hamburg. Out of each position I gained some valuable experience that helped me to adapt when I came to the US. My reward was to become a part of this doctoral program, and I view this as a unique opportunity to improve myself and learn new things.

Joe Marchetti

Professor of Education

Dr. Marchetti assumed the role of Professor in the School of Education effective January 2010 after serving as a senior level administrator for twenty five years in the Division of Student Affairs, most recently as Vice President for Student Affairs. Between July 1, 2010 and April 2, 2012, Dr. Marchetti served as Interim Dean of the School of Education. He currently serves as Professor of Education and past Director of the newly created Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership Program. Previously he served as Director of the Master of Arts in Educational Leadership (MAEL) Program. Dr. Marchetti will be retiring January 2018. Dr. Marchetti received a Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985 with academic emphasis in Organizational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction. He holds a Master of Science in Educational Supervision and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology (PA Teaching Certificate Eligibility) and Psychology. His undergraduate and graduate work was done at Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, PA

Superintendent of Schools for the Palmyra School District in Palmyra, NJ and have been in this position since July 1, 2012.  I served as the Superintendent - Principal for the New Hanover Township School District in Wrightstown, NJ from 2009-2012, and I was the Director of Adult Basic Skills at Salem County Vocational Technical School in Woodstown, NJ from 2008-2009.  My seven years of classroom teaching experience encompassed the elementary, middle, and high school levels.  Prior to serving in public education, I worked in both the corporate and military arena.  I worked for Aetna Insurance as a Corporate Educator and Information Analyst from 1998-2001.  Proudly, I served in the United States Air Force/Air National Guard from 1989-1998.  During my military service I amassed nearly 1800 flying hours as an In-flight Refueling Technician aboard the KC-135 refueling jet.  Having served as both an Non-Commissioned Officer and a Commissioned Officer, I honorably left the military in 2001.   In 2007, I received my M.Ed. in Executive Educational Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall University.  In 1996 I received my B.A. in Political Science from Stockton College in NJ.  Presently, I live in Williamstown, NJ with my lovely wife, Kim, and our two beautiful children (a son who is 15, and a daughter who is 12). Together, Kim and I share a love for education as she is a special education teacher working at the middle school level.  I am an active member in my community and have been serving as an adult leader with the Boy Scouts of America since 2007.

Kathleen McDonald

Kathleen McDonald is currently a Director of Curriculum and Instruction for a P-12 school district. With an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences, she taught elementary school for the first few years of her career and spent approximately 17 years teaching high school. Ms. McDonald earned her first Master's in Education and continued with Educational Administration at Rowan University. She has been a K-12 district supervisor for science, math, and visual and performing arts for approximately 6 years. She has also taught in Stockton's Alternate Route Program as well as served as an adjunct professor with Atlantic Cape Community College as an Anatomy and Physiology professor for approximately 6 years. Upon completion of her superintendent's certification, Ms. McDonald became a district Director in 2015. Ms. McDonald is the very proud mother of three daughters, Christina, Angela, and Gianna and two grand daughters, Makenzie and Guiliana. Christina has her hands full at home with Makenzie and Guiliana. Angela is working on completing her degree in biology and hopes to be accepted to graduate school for 2017 while Gianna is looking to pursue a degree in neuroscience/neurobiology in 2017. Ms. McDonald grew up training and showing horses on the A circuit and has a home-based certified doll studio from which she previously instructed porcelain doll-making class. She also enjoys boating, golfing, snow skiing, and traveling with her husband, Tom, when possible. Once she completes her doctorate, she plans to have more time to spend with her family and to return to her hobbies!

I hold a master's degree in education with a concentration in special education and another in administration and leadership. Previously I had a long career as a municipal administrator, and in the fire service as both a volunteer chief and career captain. I am am also a NJ Certified Public Manager. I enrolled in the EdD. program to not only hone my leadership skills but to find a career position which will provide me with one more opportunity to truly make a difference in the world. Warren (Jerry) Nelson is the Global Leader for IT Engineering and Architecture at DH (www.dh.com). At DH Jerry is responsible for the designing and building of all systems, networking, database, and storage needs across the global enterprise. Jerry has been in the FINTECH (Financial Technology) space for the past 12 years. Prior to that, Jerry served in the US Coast Guard (USCG) on Active duty for 6 years and reserve for 4 years performing Search and Rescue (SAR) and Law Enforcement (LE) missions as a BM1 (E-6). Jerry attended University of Iowa for Engineering but left prior to graduation and joined the Military in May 2001. During his service, Jerry received his BA from Richard Stockton College in Computer Science and Information Systems. He then received his MS from Richard Stockton College in Computational Science. Jerry resides in Mays Landing, NJ, with his Wife (Nicole), also in this program, son, and two dogs.

Nicole Nelson

Police K-9 Sergeant

Nicole Nelson is a police sergeant with the Township of Hamilton Police Department. She has been an officer for 15 years and currently works in the K-9 unit with her K-9 partner, Hunter. Some of Nicole’s duties as a K-9 sergeant include leading and managing a shift of patrol officers who serve the public on a daily basis, assisting with investigations and special events utilizing her K-9 partner, and organizing community policing related functions. Nicole’s K-9 partner is close to retirement and she is focusing on her future within the department. Nicole received her BA degree in Criminal Justice in 2002 from Richard Stockton College where she was a member of the Stockton Ospreys Softball Team. Nicole went on to obtain her MS degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2007. Nicole currently lives in Mays Landing with her husband Jerry, who is also a member of Cohort One. In her spare time Nicole enjoys traveling with her family and spending time with her 6 year old son, Andrew.

The oldest of four children, I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up (a pediatrician to be exact), and was unaware of the challenges I would face as I navigated my education as a first-generation college student. Before going to college, I shadowed my own pediatrician and determined that I did not want to pursue a career in medicine; instead I applied to more than one dozen colleges and universities in the tri-state area, and entered Rider University as an undeclared major. Knowing that I had to chose a degree program before my sophomore year, my parents tried to be helpful in pointing out the areas they felt I would excel in but I knew that the decision came down to much more than what I was good at – it was about pursuing something I loved. By my third semester, I declared myself to be a journalism major, which I rounded out with an English minor and supplemented with several in interpersonal communication. After graduate studies at Syracuse University's SI Newhouse School of Public Communication, writing served as my foray into development, a field which allows me to relies on relationship development, strategy and the passion for making a difference. My genuine love of relationships and communication only grows with each new experience. In addition to my work in development, I have also served as an adjunct at Union County College; let's face it, I never wanted to face the fact that I would have to leave education one day! Though I am prioritizing my own education through the pursuit of my EdD currently, I look forward to the day when I can return to the classroom- to see the growth in students like myself and to encourage them to dream bigger than they ever thought possible. I am thrilled to be part of Stockton's third EdD cohort and look forward to growing as a leader and fulfilling my dream of earning my doctorate!

Dana Palma

With 17 years of experience in healthcare, Dana Palma currently serves as the Director of Finance for University of Pennsylvania Health System. Dana oversees a budget of over $50 million in net revenue for the Department of Radiation Oncology. Dana is very active in the church including assisting with programs such as expungements for the community and other economic empowerment programs focused on financial education and employment prep.  Prior to beginning her journey with Stockton’s inaugural Doctoral program in Organizational Leadership, Dana received her Master’s in Strategic Communication and Leadership.

Bill Perkins

Superintendent of the 177th Fighter Wing Command Post

I'm Bill Perkins, a 2014 graduate of Stockton University's MAIT program and 2019 graduate of the Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership program.  I'm also a 2011 graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University's MAS program.  I am serving active duty with the 177th Fighter Wing, where I am the Superintendent of the 177th Fighter Wing Headquarters Staff and the Command and Control Functional Manager.  I am also an adjunct professor at Stockton University, where I teach Operations Management.  I ran a portion of my military career concurrently with a law enforcement career at Margate City Police Department.  I retired from law enforcement as a Police Detective in 2011, after I was approached to reengage my active duty career with the Air Force. I've had my eye on this program since it was in the development phase, and am happy, being in the first cohort, I was a part of the program coming to fruition.  Leadership encompasses so many facets of my life.  I feel the program has developed me to be a better leader, as well as developed me personally.  I will soon retire from the Air Force and am hoping to continue developing others as leaders.  My career goals entail teaching leadership, consulting, and executive coaching. When I'm not working or in school, I enjoy exercising, going to the beach, and spending time with family.  I have one son serving in the United States Coast Guard and the other is graduating from The University of Pennsylvania and will soon be in medical school.  My one daughter is a graduate of Stockton University’s School of Business and the other is a graduate of Jefferson University’s Physician Assistant (PA) program and working as a PA in Tampa, Florida.  I have enjoyed this journey with my cohort members, and remain impressed with some of my peers, as I have learned so much from them.  This program truly has been a development program within a doctoral program.

April Golden Perrone

April Golden Perrone, Cohort 3, is thrilled to be fulfilling a lifelong dream of hers–working towards her doctoral degree. She is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 20 years’ experience. She has served in a variety of industries including hospitality, IT/aviation and federal contracting, and State government. She loves HR because it affords her the opportunity to help people directly every day. April is a Jersey girl who spent her early childhood years first in North Jersey before her family relocated to South Jersey when she was a young teen. She is a proud Rutgers and Stockton graduate earning her bachelors and master’s degrees from these two universities respectively. She volunteers extensively in the local schools of her community and encourages others to give back their time to causes that speak to their interests. April resides in Mays Landing with her supportive husband and her two children.

I am currently serving as Vice Principal/Athletic Director at the Cape May County Technical High School District.  Prior to this I was teaching Precalculus/Calculus at the West Point Military Academy in NY.  I have also taught in Hammonton High School and did some adjunct work at the Atlantic Cape Community College (Cape May Court House Campus). I have three degrees from Stockton.  BA in Mathematics, BA in Teacher Education, MA in Mathematics Education.  I also have 47 graduate credits from Thomas Edison University in Educational Administration and 24 Doctoral Credits from Montclair State University in Mathematics Education.   What can I say...Life Long Learner! Currently live in Cape May NJ with my wife Sarah and dog Odin.  If you see me run out of class near the end of May, I'll be heading to the hospital for my first born (wife is due May 30th).

Ted Sanchious

Theodore (Ted) R. Sanchious is Vice President and Head of Product Management at First Data Corporation. He leads a Product Team in its continued support of First Data’s ongoing efforts for growth in Global Commerce. Ted’s team is responsible for product line performance throughout its lifecycle including product strategy, product planning and issue prioritization. The team is also responsible for product pricing, product development and new business development which are paramount to the growth of the business. Ted is a highly experienced leader in business and not for profit board leadership. Ted has extensive experience designing and developing strategic plans, managing, training and leading leaders and developing products and services for Corporations, State and Local Governments and the Federal Government. He has more than 27 years of advancement in diversified financial services leadership roles that have included Product Management and Development, Client Service and Operations Management. Ted most recently served as Vice President and Product Head for Citi’s North America Core Receivables Business and prior to that he was Public Sector Product Management Head for JPMorgan Chase Treasury Services Business. Ted is not only a leader in business, but has served as a community leader throughout his career. He has served as Director or Executive Officer for more than a dozen not for profit organizations over the past 27 years. He has also served as a member of the Financial Services Curriculum Design Team for the State of Arizona, where he worked on implementing a Financial Services Curriculum for grades K through 12. Ted currently serves as Secretary for the Dream Builders Foundation. Ted is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc. where has served in leadership roles at the local levels of the fraternity and is currently serving in leadership roles at the Regional and National Levels of the fraternity. Ted has also demonstrated his leadership in higher education. He has served as an adjunct instructor at Duff’s Business Institute in Pittsburgh, Pa, Waynesburg College (Pittsburgh Campus) and the University of Phoenix (Pittsburgh Campus). Richard W. Settino

I am a Project Manager responsible for a team of 51 managers and employees and an annual operating budget of $10M. I have been working in this industry since 2003. Previously I was the President of First Executive Inc., NYC and prior to that worked for Bankers Trust Company, NYC. I also serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserves, currently Commanding a Battalion of America's finest Soldiers. I am an Aviation Officer (helicopter pilot), held numerous leadership positions, deployed once in 2005, and was a first responder on 9/11. In my 26 plus years of combined military and civilian experience, leadership and organization continues to be central to everything I do. I consider myself fortunate to have an opportunity to learn from our cohort and take my experiences to the next level. I am married with twin daughters (7yrs old) and live in Brick, NJ.

My career as a Physician Assistant has spanned over twenty years and has brought me great joy and satisfaction, especially when mentoring students. I currently work part time in the Emergency Department at Virtua Hospital in Voorhees, NJ. These experiences led me to begin my teaching career with PA students at Philadelphia University, where I am an Assistant Professor in the PA program. I am married and have five children, three of whom are married, and all, fortunately, still live in the Philadelphia area. My husband and I love to travel and enjoy our spare time at the jersey shore with our friends and family. I am looking forward to enhancing my education and career with all of you through this leadership program.

Cheryl ‘C.’ Robinson

For many years C. Robinson has envisioned running her own firm. Ready2Roar LLC stemmed from her desire to build an empire that allowed her to consult and develop new motivational seminars that make a positive difference in the world. Currently, C. Robinson is organizing two conferences. Endurance 2.0: The Athlete Entrepreneur Conference is a platform for current and former athletes wanting to gain knowledge and resources to start or strengthen their own company. And, the Ivy Startup Conference connects investors with startups from the Ivy League circuit in order to cultivate networks and share pragmatic insights After graduating with a Master's in Sports Management from Columbia University, C. Robinson decided to follow her entrepreneurial instincts and began consulting within the Sports Industry. She was a part of the 2014 NYNJ Super Bowl Host Committee and NFL Super Bowl Committee, assisted Legacy Business Advisors in developing their sports department which included a collaboration with SMS Productions and served as an event organizer for NJTL's inaugural grand opening. Ms. Robinson has remained heavily involved with Columbia University. Not only is she the co-founder of the Sports Management Club but also serves as a course coordinator for the program's Sports Leadership and Management course headed by Neal Pilson. In addition, she designed a core Sports Marketing and Events & Sponsorship curriculum for Stockton University where she serves as an adjunct professor. Over the years Ms. Robinson has been a guest speaker on sports panels, published in notable online sports journals and published her first novella in 2011. Her past includes working in the Entertainment Industry out in Los Angeles, California as an assistant for agents, managers and studio executives.

Kathryn Suk

Assistant Professor of Education and Student Development

Ms. Kathryn Suk, M. Ed. is Assistant Professor of Education and Student Development at Raritan Valley Community College in Somerville, New Jersey, where she is also the Coordinator for the Student Development courses that focus on college success.  Kathy is a current Executive Board member for the National Association of Community College Teacher Education Programs and a founding member of Teach2Matter at RVCC.  She was the first Higher Ed faculty member invited to participate in the national ECET2 network, and she was Co-Chair of the first two NJPAECET2 Convenings.  Prior to becoming a Pre-Service Teacher Educator at RVCC, Kathryn taught elementary and middle school for ten years in Somerset and Hunterdon counties in New Jersey. Ms. Suk is a graduate of Rider University (Bachelor of Science in Finance) and The College of New Jersey (Master of Education in Instruction).  She earned her initial professional credential, New Jersey Elementary Classroom Teacher (N-8), via the Alternate Route Program offered through the New Jersey State Department of Education.  She later earned a second professional certificate, Supervisor of Instruction, through the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education.  She is also a graduate of the Academy XVI program of Learning Forward. In her spare time, Kathy enjoys spending time with her son, Joseph; her dogger, Ginger; and her entire family, particularly on the beach in the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  She is an avid fan of country music and enjoys line dancing, gardening, reading, and laughing.

Daniel Fidalgo Tome

Daniel earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Policy, Institutions and Behavior from Cook College, Rutgers University and his Master in Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He works closely with the faculty and students from Stockton University and community partners in the South Jersey region creating authentic, reciprocal relationships. Prior to his work at Stockton, he has worked at the City College of New York in Harlem overseeing diversity, community service and leadership development student programs, part of the City University of New York system and for the Board of Public Higher Education for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts coordinating the Undergraduate Research Conference for the state.

Lynda Truitt

Manager, Risk Management at South Jersey Industries (SJI)

My name is Lynda Truitt. I have been employed by SJI for 25 years. I have held various roles in many business lines at SJI; including Sales, Accounting, Financial Planning, Operations, Gas Supply, Transportation and Risk Management. My education at Stockton has been a huge part of my success and development at SJI. I earned my undergraduate in Accounting, as well as my MBA from Stockton University. I promised myself; once my kids were through college, I would pursue my doctorate…so here I am! I am the proud mother of two wonderful children. My daughter is a nurse, pursuing her N.P., in women’ s health, at the University of Pennsylvania. My son is an Economics major, in his final year at Stockton University. I have a very supportive husband, who earned his PhD in Cognitive Psychology before we met. He has always been my inspiration and has pushed me to reach for the stars and pursue my dreams. My mother has been my role model my entire life and because of her I have the ability to reach deep inside of me and forge forward, even in the face of challenge. I am blessed to have a family that supports me in every way possible; which is why I am able to be a part of this program. I am a Board Member at Bacharach Hospital Foundation Board of Governors. Volunteering and giving back to my community is important to me; which is why being a part of SJI, Bacharach and Stockton is a great fit! I couldn’t think of a better place for me to take on the doctoral journey. I am proud to be a part of Cohort #3.

Dawn Watkins

Instructor at Stockton University

Dawn N. Watkins is an instructor at Stockton University in Galloway, N.J. She currently holds a Masters in Instructional Technology from Stockton University and is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in. Ms. Watkins’ “meager beginnings” compelled her to support initiatives for diversity, STEM programs and other educational opportunities for underrepresented groups. Her commitment to philanthropy has led to the donation of computers to the Bridgeton School District and to the Boys & Girls Club of Vineland. Ms. Watkins continues to be an avid advocate for the students of southern New Jersey, primarily focusing on Cumberland County (Bridgeton, Millville and Vineland). Ms. Watkins established the American Association of University Women (AAUW) Cumberland County branch. Under her leadership as president, the AAUW-CC branch will sponsor educational programs and STEM opportunities such as Tech Trek, Tween Tech and Teen Tech. AAUW-CC collaborates with businesses and local organizations to reduce hunger and promote community growth. Her dedication to the community and STEM education continues to encourage girls through workshops, such as YES! (Youth Empowerment Summit!). As a panelist, she shared her personal experience, love for technology and inspired the girls to take advantage of every presented opportunity. Ms. Watkins continues to extend Stockton University programs outside of Atlantic County. “Stockton University is committed to the positive development of southern New Jersey” is an ideal Ms. Watkins upholds through community engagement and civic responsibility. Her work includes recruitment assistance for programs such as the nationally recognized CSI Camp, Tech Trek, Tween Tech, Teen Tech and the S.E.A.S. program. She also represents the university and its programs at community events. Ms. Watkins presents and facilitates workshops for underrepresented and minority students visiting the Stockton campus. Her efforts have led to growing interest in the university and its programs from students and residents of Cumberland County. She was instrumental in bringing the Early College High School (ECHS) Initiative to Cumberland County. Her involvement resulted in all of the county high schools participating in Carver’s STEM-based curriculum, which allows high school students to graduate with their diploma and associate’s degree. The initiative has resulted, thus far, in 62 Bridgeton High School students beginning their high school and college careers on the Cumberland County College campus. Ms. Watkins continues to increase awareness about the program, as well as promote local partnerships for internships and opportunities for community engagement. Ms. Watkins serves as a board member, liaison and chair of Community Development for the Carver Foundation. She is pursuing an Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership at Stockton University. As an employee in the School of Education, Watkins serves on multiple committees at Stockton and within the local community. She remains dedicated to empowering young girls, fostering community engagement and advocating civic responsibility.

William Wolfson

As the Managing Member of Range 129 LLC, an indoor firearms training facility located in Absecon, New Jersey, I aspire to change the world. My organization looks to create a nurturing and safe environment for people from all walks of life to come and learn about firearms and their safety. Range 129 is founded on the basis of; "He Who Walks with Wolves, Learns to Howl", which encompasses our idea of aligning with retired and current Law Enforcement and Military Officials who have practical firearms experience to teach firearms safety and education. As we set our sights to change the perception surrounding firearms, I am excited to have my colleagues in Cohort 3 by my side. Having completed my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Culture and Language with a minor in Latin American Caribbean Studies, my Bachelor of Science in both Finance and Financial Planning and my Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and Entrepreneurship, all at Stockton University, I am elated to be a part of Cohort 3 on our journey to complete the Doctoral Degree of Education in Organizational Leadership.

Jache Williams

Director of First Year Experience

I have been serving in higher education for over 15 years now. After graduating from Duke University with a BA in Psychology and African American Studies, my plan was to volunteer as an AmeriCorps VISTA at UCLA for one year then attend graduate school. However, My plan was not The plan. In my position at UCLA I worked with many students who were struggling to "survive" the college experience. I helped to make sure that they were as successful as possible in creating and reaching their goals. I stayed there for the next five years designing college prep programming for under-resourced schools in LA County ranging from pre-K through 12th grade. When I decided it was time to leave LALA land, I came back home (NJ) and began working at Marymount Manhattan College developing recruitment strategies for transfer students at community colleges. Once of those colleges was Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC), my current home away from home. At RVCC I ran the Admissions and Recruitment Office for a few years while I earned my MA in Organizational Leadership at Rider University. I now oversee the First Year Experience Office, orienting, advising and retaining incoming students. I also serve as an adjunct professor for the Student Development course and a club advisor for the Black Student Alliance. My daily goal is to ignite a spirit of self-worth, advocacy and determination in each student I encounter. I rely on my spirituality and meditation to keep me focused and centered; I am trying to add working out to that list… I have a heart for babies and when I am not with my friends’ or family’s kids, I am volunteering as a Sunday school teacher for ages two through six, or shopping. Oh, and I bake a mean cookie.

Shy L. Williams

Author and Speaker

Shy L. Williams is a former detective, professional speaker, author, social justice advocate and an uncommon mentor. Born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey, She started her higher education at Montclair State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Justice Studies and Master of Arts in Law & Governance. Shy is currently a 2nd Lieutenant in the New Jersey Army National Guard serving as the Officer Strength Manager with the Headquarters 44th Infantry Brigade Combat Team. Shy kick started her detective career in the Special Victims Unit in the City of Camden where she amazingly rose to the rank of Detective in just eight months from patrol. She served on the Camden County Police Department for four years before joining Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office as an undercover Narcotics Detective with the Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force. In her five plus years of working in law enforcement, Shy has successfully spearheaded many operations; she’s covered cases of domestic violence, sexual assaults, juvenile crimes, fraud, narcotics and much more. Owing to her passion, dedication and love for what she does, Shy truly enjoyed helping victims get back on track and find purpose for their lives. Shy is also a Criminal Justice Instructor and Entrepreneur. She has taught and trained law enforcement officers on updated state laws and policies. Shy has provided live trainings to over thousand of students in different school districts; introducing participants to the criminal justice system and law enforcement and also explaining how to interact with modern law enforcement to build and create better encounters between police officers and citizens. Further, she is the Founder and President of the Annie Lee Jones Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. The Annie Lee Jones Foundation is named after her late great-grandmother and it was founded out of her passion to reach out and enrich the lives of others. Her foundation is responsible for serving over 1,000 students annually with school supplies in preparation of having a successful school year. Also, serving the less fortunate with hot meals during the holiday seasons and much more. Shy is a prolific writer and the author of the two must read books for children, Proud Black Girl and Proud Black Boy. As a hobby, she enjoys mentoring inner city children and she has spent 10 solid years doing it passionately. She has a magical way of making girls and boys embrace self-love, self-respect, self-enrichment and place value on education; which is also the message in her two books.

Jill Zinckgraf

Executive Director

I am currently the Executive Director of the Domestic Abuse & Sexual Assault Crisis Center of Warren County (dasacc.org) and have been in this position since June 2013. This is my dream job and I am honored to serve int his capacity. I have been working and/or volunteering in the field of violence against women over the past 30 years. I have focused on the cultural impact of domestic violence and sexual assault as institutional violence, the consumption and production of inequality, and sexual terrorism. My focus is the empowerment model of moving those impacted by interpersonal violence forward, as well as advocating and inspiring the future generation to reduce the violence against all people.  I have been married for 28 years and have 4 amazing adult children and 2 grandsons.  I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a member of Cohort 2 and looking forward to our journey together.
