Intro: The show “Chopped” is a cooking show where a couple people compete against each other in rounds to see who the best cook is to make it to the final round and the prize of a lot of money. They get evaluated by 3-4 judges each time to see who’s dish is the best.
Watching this in the English language like we normally do on a daily basis, everything is basic, and easy to tell what each person is doing. The background setting was simple and expressed the mood of the show. Each person moved around the same way when they needed too, to get food supplies for their dish. Everyone reacted to the setting of the show and time they had in their own way, depending on how difficult they felt the situation was. Watching it in a different language made these circumstances change into a different perspective. The characters moved around differently than in an English language view. The setting of the show was in a different scene-setting to let people view the show on how people in another country or language see it. This way it gives people the opportunity to see the different settings, cultures, and actions of the characters.
In their culture (Spanish), they travel differently through the show as they see observations differently than we do. They use different types of food ingredients for their dishes than others used. Their spices and ingredients are similar and different apart from our culture. It also all depends on how they use it in their foods.
