This blog is intended to supplement our “live” South Jersey Butterfly Project Log.
The log compiles reports of butterflies observed in New Jersey’s southern eight counties: Ocean, Burlington, Camden, Atlantic, Gloucester, Salem, Cumberland, and Cape May.
This blog features a running collection of posts and photos about sightings, trends, field trips, and other news relevant to our efforts to learn more about these beautiful and intriguing insects. Observers who chase butterflies in our area are invited to submit potential posts. Send inquiries to nacotejackATgmailDOTcom.
In September 1, 2015, we adopted a much-improved logging system, created by web designer, David Reese.
South Jersey Butterfly Project Log
Anyone interested is encouraged to submit sightings (and photos, if you’d like to share them) to our log.
We have no membership fees and no entrance exam. Beginners are invited the join in the fun and the challenge — and to help us add to our records. The more observers we have in South Jersey, the better.
