Bill Perkins

I’m Bill Perkins, a 2014 graduate of Stockton University’s MAIT program and 2019 graduate of the Ed.D. in Organizational Leadership program.  I’m also a 2011 graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University’s MAS program.  I am serving active duty with the 177th Fighter Wing, where I am the Superintendent of the 177th Fighter Wing Headquarters Staff and the Command and Control Functional Manager.  I am also an adjunct professor at Stockton University, where I teach Operations Management.  I ran a portion of my military career concurrently with a law enforcement career at Margate City Police Department.  I retired from law enforcement as a Police Detective in 2011, after I was approached to reengage my active duty career with the Air Force. I’ve had my eye on this program since it was in the development phase, and am happy, being in the first cohort, I was a part of the program coming to fruition.  Leadership encompasses so many facets of my life.  I feel the program has developed me to be a better leader, as well as developed me personally.  I will soon retire from the Air Force and am hoping to continue developing others as leaders.  My career goals entail teaching leadership, consulting, and executive coaching. When I’m not working or in school, I enjoy exercising, going to the beach, and spending time with family.  I have one son serving in the United States Coast Guard and the other is graduating from The University of Pennsylvania and will soon be in medical school.  My one daughter is a graduate of Stockton University’s School of Business and the other is a graduate of Jefferson University’s Physician Assistant (PA) program and working as a PA in Tampa, Florida.  I have enjoyed this journey with my cohort members, and remain impressed with some of my peers, as I have learned so much from them.  This program truly has been a development program within a doctoral program.
