Nicole Nelson

Nicole Nelson is a police sergeant with the Township of Hamilton Police Department. She has been an officer for 15 years and currently works in the K-9 unit with her K-9 partner, Hunter. Some of Nicole’s duties as a K-9 sergeant include leading and managing a shift of patrol officers who serve the public on a daily basis, assisting with investigations and special events utilizing her K-9 partner, and organizing community policing related functions. Nicole’s K-9 partner is close to retirement and she is focusing on her future within the department.

Nicole received her BA degree in Criminal Justice in 2002 from Richard Stockton College where she was a member of the Stockton Ospreys Softball Team. Nicole went on to obtain her MS degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2007.

Nicole currently lives in Mays Landing with her husband Jerry, who is also a member of Cohort One. In her spare time Nicole enjoys traveling with her family and spending time with her 6 year old son, Andrew.
