Nataliia Maciejewski

I believe that teaching is another way of learning, so I’ve chosen to be an educator. Currently, I am employed as an ESL teacher at ELS, AC, located at Stockton University. The beauty of my job is that I teach students who come to the US from overseas, and they, like me, are strangers to this country.
I was born and raised in Ukraine. After I graduated from the University of Ostroh Academy, founded in 1576, with a degree in foreign languages, I started discovering the world. My first stop was Germany. I spent over two years in that beautiful country challenging myself in different ways. Within those two years, I managed to work as an au-pair, barista, waitress, and as a clerk in the Consulate General of Ukraine in Hamburg. Out of each position I gained some valuable experience that helped me to adapt when I came to the US. My reward was to become a part of this doctoral program, and I view this as a unique opportunity to improve myself and learn new things.
