My name is Lynda Truitt. I have been employed by SJI for 25 years. I have held various roles in many business lines at SJI; including Sales, Accounting, Financial Planning, Operations, Gas Supply, Transportation and Risk Management. My education at Stockton has been a huge part of my success and development at SJI. I earned my undergraduate in Accounting, as well as my MBA from Stockton University. I promised myself; once my kids were through college, I would pursue my doctorate…so here I am! I am the proud mother of two wonderful children. My daughter is a nurse, pursuing her N.P., in women’ s health, at the University of Pennsylvania. My son is an Economics major, in his final year at Stockton University. I have a very supportive husband, who earned his PhD in Cognitive Psychology before we met. He has always been my inspiration and has pushed me to reach for the stars and pursue my dreams. My mother has been my role model my entire life and because of her I have the ability to reach deep inside of me and forge forward, even in the face of challenge. I am blessed to have a family that supports me in every way possible; which is why I am able to be a part of this program. I am a Board Member at Bacharach Hospital Foundation Board of Governors. Volunteering and giving back to my community is important to me; which is why being a part of SJI, Bacharach and Stockton is a great fit! I couldn’t think of a better place for me to take on the doctoral journey. I am proud to be a part of Cohort #3.
