Joshua Eckersley

Josh Eckersley is currently entering his fifth year as an eighth-grade mathematics teacher at Central Regional Middle School. During his tenure at his alma mater, Josh has been involved in many extra-curricular activities in school such as running the middle school’s annual talent show, co-directing the middle school drama production, running the school’s math and science fair and restructuring his curriculum all before receiving tenure. Additionally, Josh has been extremely involved in his union at a local, county, state and national level. Josh serves several roles at many levels in his association as a member of his local representative council, local public relations chairperson, a member of his county Legislative Action Team, County Action Team, Emerging Leaders, NJEA Working Conditions Committee, NEA Young Professionals Caucus, NJEA Summer Fellowship Program and has rallied and lobbied multiple times in front of the State Capitol as well as other locations across the state, and has testified in front of the State Board of Education. Josh is an alumnus of what was formerly known as the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey (now known as Stockton University), earning his BS in Mathematics, BA in Education and MA in Education with a concentration in mathematics content and instruction. Josh is a life-long learner and puts passion and enthusiasm into everything he does. Before becoming and educator, Josh was a commission sales professional for 9 years.
