African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey

Located in Atlantic City, this museum features a variety of exhibits focusing on the African American experience in Southern New Jersey, such as “Stereotypes: From Little Black Sambo to Aunt Jemima and Beyond.” There are also traveling exhibits as well as events held by the museum.

Blacks in Latin America

Blacks in Latin America is a four-part television series which aired on PBS in 2011. It follows Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. as he examines how Latin American and Caribbean cultures arose from a blend of African and European cultures.
