Time is almost up and the state won’t wait! All students who have previously filed a FAFSA have until April 15, 2019 to file their 2019-2020 applications to be considered for any State funded financial aid programs for the 2019-2020 academic year. Any student who fails to meet this deadline will not be considered for eligibility for programs including TAG (Tuition Aid Grant), EOF (Educational Opportunity Fund) and NJSTARS II. We do not want you to miss out on this opportunity for free money from the State of New Jersey. File your FAFSA by April 15 to be considered! Visit stockton.edu/fafsa to learn more.
After filing the FAFSA, you must provide some additional information to the State of New Jersey. You may do so online by visiting njfams.hesaa.org and selecting “Answer New Jersey State Grant Questions” located on the left-hand side of the page. If you have not accessed this site before, you will need to create a login in the student’s name and complete the additional questions that follow. Your eligibility for state grant programs cannot be determined until this information is provided and we do not want you to miss this chance for free money from the state of New Jersey. If you have any questions about NJFAMS, please contact the State of New Jersey at 800.792.8670.
Once you’ve completed these steps, make sure to keep up to date with any financial aid requirements you may have. In addition to email notifications sent from our office, you may also view your financial aid requirements on the go-portal under the financial aid tab. Click the graphic on the left-hand side of the page that says “Financial Aid Requirements” and select the aid year (2019-2020). Make sure to complete these requirements as soon as possible to assure your financial aid will be in place when fall bills are due in August.
