About Dr. Jacobson

KRISTIN J. JACOBSON (Ph.D.,The Pennsylvania State University; M.A. University of Colorado-Boulder; B.A. Carthage College) joined Stockton’s faculty as an assistant professor of American Literature in 2005. She teaches courses in American literature, American Studies, and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Incorporating feminist geography and literary analysis, her interdisciplinary book, Neodomestic American Fiction (Ohio State UP 2010), investigates late twentieth-century and early twenty-first-century manifestations of “domestic fiction.” She has published articles in Genre, Tulsa Studies in Women’s Literature and Legacy.

Dr. Jacobson (aka Dr. J) enjoys reading, biking, and yoga. She grew up in LaFarge, WI (population 747). Her parents still live there. She has also lived in Colorado; Beijing, China; and Pennsylvania. Jug handles confuse her.
