I love the fact that you can view actual footage of what the island was like on video, it is like taking a trip to the past. Also, the fact that we have audio files from this time that tells us what immigrants were thinking when they got here is intriguing as well. Overall, I think this is a great tour and website to visit the past.

It is amazing that these immigrants were stepping on U.S Soil for the first time at Ellis Island. The differences between today’s immigration laws and the 1920s is so different, it really puts things into perspective.
