Microsoft Translator is a free to use application where you are able to convert messages from over seventy different languages. It is extremely helpful for students who are looking to travel abroad, research a specific culture, and even just to learn a new language. I never understood how a translating app could really be so much of a help until after reading about it in the Chapter 2 in the Sail the & C’s.

I feel this application is a the most helpful tool for students who are trying to take classes in another country where they speak a different language. Being able to translate what people are saying easily and fast will make it significantly easier for you to understand and learn the specific language.

This live feature is a great display of todays technology. Being able to translate audio that fast will make it easier people to converse. For example, companies across different countries are able to communicate easy and fast with the live translator to get an agreement or deal done.

I find Amizade so interesting because of the wide variety of locations they have different programs. From Italy to New Zealand to Washington DC to many other different locations you can join an Amizade program. I would suggest looking into amizade for anyone looking to travel as well as still being able to learn new things about the world.

When it comes to the work environment for most jobs it is important to have collaborative partners to help make the job a little easier. After reading through the article “What Is Collaboration In The Workplace? Benefits and Strategies” by lumapps.com, I was able to understand more the importance of working as a team with your peers. They describe 5 different benefits and strategies that were really intriguing as to how beneficial a collaborative working environment is.

Benefits:

1. It allows the team to pull its resources
2. Collaborative working practices increases efficency
3. It gives people the chance to learn from each other
4. Encourages workers to see the bigger picture of the company
5. It promotes employee retention

I believe that with a healthier and collaborative workplace I would feel like I can be more efficient and do my best work. Businesses that set their goals to be worked on as a group have a far more chance of having the best and efficient final product.

In the EdTech book “Hands On Projects In the Classroom – A Guide For Elementary Teachers” by ISTE is a book on different projects elementary teachers can use for their students to learn what artificial intelligence is and what it is can be used for. I chose to read this book because with how popular artificial intelligence is becoming in todays society, I was curious as to how younger students will be taught on the different ways artificial intelligence can be used. There are 4 main project ideas that were listed in the reading were:

1. What AI does well and what it does not do well
2. Training data and machine learning
3. Sensors vs. Sensors
4. Navigation and AI

Each one of the four projects has its unique way of explaining the different tools AI has to offer. With how the world is constantly changing today with new technologies and more important new artificial intelligence, it is important for kids to learn about our future technologies as young as possible.
