Hyperdocs

Hyperdocs are the latest trend in Education that allow our students to interact with their press through technology and, at the same time, enhance their learning experiences.

What is a Hyperdoc?

Put simply, a Hyperdoc is an interactive document shared with a class that allows students to work with their classmates. Hyperdocs can take the form of a google doc or slide deck. Anything that can have links posted can become. a Hyperdoc!

Hyperdoc Uses

Hyperdocs can be used for a number of different activities in the classroom. The only thing that limits what a Hyperdoc can be is the imagination of the creator.

The google doc above is a prime example of a hyperdoc. This doc has links to a video and a link to an infographic. These links allow students to look at a subject on their own and then bring their knowledge to the wider classroom.

Technology is only increasing in our society. We as teachers need to adapt to it uses because there are real benefits that Hyperdocs and other tech resources can have in the classroom. We as educators, need not be afraid to use them.
