Hyperdocs

This week, I learned all about hyperdocs. I have never used one before, but will definitely be implementing them in the future. Essentially, a hyperdoc is an interactive google doc or slides that students can follow along to complete the lesson. Instead of having a teacher list out each individual step, students can follow the steps on their own with the option of collaborating with other students electronically.

Example from livebinders.com

I came across a page on livebinders.com that has tons of hyperdocs for all grade levels for teachers to use. The picture above is an example of a lesson about kindness. It walks the child through each part of the lesson while providing resources to keep them engaged.

All of the rainbow topics are completely available for teachers to use in their classrooms. This is especially helpful for asynchronous courses since the teacher is not physically with students to guide them along the way. It allows students to learn and implement the material on their own. It is incredibly helpful that many teachers make these hyperdocs available to others.
