AR in Education

The use of augmented reality is becoming more popular in today’s education. A source that changes the world is Google Arts and Culture. The website allows people to see different types of art and places all around the world. Through the use of augmented reality, people can explore museums, artifacts, and various types of scenery that our beautiful world has to offer.

Google allows people to view different cultural paintings and learn about different historical events like the Vietnam War. People can view multiple works from famous artists. For example, you could view over 300 works by Vincent Van Gogh. This website also allows the viewer to get a closer look at a painting. If you would like, you could zoom in on Claude Monet’s works and many other famous paintings.

You can also watch videos on the website about certain paintings explaining what is depicted. The video I think is very interesting because the people who made the video created the paintings to have animation and other features to make the storytelling interesting. With finding a museum, people can turn on their location and allow Google to tell you what museums are in the area. I was able to find tons of places right in my town.

Teachers can also find lesson plans within Google Arts and Culture. There are tons of lesson plans ready to be used within the classroom and many different topics and areas of study. There is a whole subject index to help people find a certain topic. Teachers can teach students about art, artists, science, technology, and so much more. These lesson plans are very detailed with a lot of information and activities. These lesson plans can be used all over the world to teach about various subjects.

The website offers games to make the learning process more interactive. Students can find a game that interests them. Students can play history games, pottery, geography, and more games about different topics. This allows students to stimulate their brains while learning about a specific subject. Google offers such a wide variety of information and activities for students to learn about art and different cultural facts.
