There are so many ways to learn in new ways in today’s world

As time goes on, the world continues to advance. Many years ago the way to learn was very limited. Some of these limitations included handwritten notes and having to go to the library to physically get information. While these are still strategies to learn, now there is an even greater quantity to learn from. Strategies to learn that are not as restrictive compared to the ones of the past. A new way of learning in K-12 includes Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.

A new way to learn includes the gaming system called the Oculus Quest. The Oculus is a gaming system based on virtual reality. Some of you may be thinking; what does a gaming system have to do with learning? Although it is a gaming system, it still has a lot of benefits to being used in learning materials. The gaming system offers a wide variety of games for its users to play. These games also include educational material such as math. One game that is offered is Math World VR. Math World VR allows players to play multiple fun sport games with the elements of math problems integrated into it. It’s not just this topic but various things that can be played and learned about. Another educational game is Moon Home. Moon Home allows users to explore outer space from home. They get to see a great virtual reality of what it actually looks like in outer space.

Another helpful educational game is called Breathe Peace World. In this game users are allowed to explore the world and learn more about it. A few other games that are educational and offered on the Oculus are Sea Level Riser: Turner Station and Human Anatomy VR Complete Edition. There are already many various games for education purposes made on the Oculus. Education games that include many subjects. There will be many more games made and improved in the future with more educational topics to explore.

The Oculus is just one example of Virtual Reality being used for educational purposes but there are more. I believe there are many games where educational purposes can be found. An example is Pokemon Go. Pokemon Go is an augmented reality based game where users can find Pokemon around the world and capture them. While it is based off of the popular Pokemon franchise, it also has some good educational habits in it. These educational hints include exploring new areas. The new exploration of areas can allow their users to learn more about the world around them.

It also allows users to collaborate globally with more ease. This is thanks to features such as making friends with people around the world or chatting with them. These educational games allow people to learn more and start to collaborate with each other.

It was once believed that games were a distraction to learning but today that can be proven wrong. Games incorporated through virtual reality and augmented reality have shown that games can be educational and enhance learning.
