The WE Teachers learning center provides teachers and future educators with the tools and lessons they can utilize to prepare themselves in certain areas. WE Teachers is a free, no-cost software that prepares modules for teachers to connect and strengthen their students and classrooms! Through WE Teachers, educators can connect with other educators, as well as participate in trained sessions, and use resources provided to encourage collaborative and engaged skills in students. The main idea of these practices and modules is for Trauma Informed situations. These being mental well-being, pandemic experiences, as well as inclusion and diversity.

WE Teachers Modules

Through my research of the WE Learning Center, I discovered the modules that correlate with the Trauma Informed Practice and felt super informed with the modules provided. The modules all go into great detail of the topics being talked about, like mental well being and inclusion. I feel these topics are extremely important for teachers to have more knowledge and experience, because as teachers it is our job to check in with our students outside of school work, and being equipped to do so is the right way to go! There are even bullying modules that can prepare teachers when faced with those situations as well. These modules include video introductions, aside from the module and information itself, which I feel is a great tool for teachers to utilize.

Benefits

The benefits of WE Teachers: Trauma Informed Practice are endless. Teachers are able to connect and engage with other like minded professionals. These experiences and training will not only benefit our teachers, but our students and the lessons and knowledge we can provide them. The detailed modules are extremely helpful and informative, which I find to be really exciting to use as a future educator. With software and platforms like WE Teachers, teachers can go in depth with many lessons and topics that are not always talked about or emphasized as much as they should be. These lessons and videos will make teaching these sensitive and important topics easier and more efficient. This will all make an impact on our students and future classrooms!
