A New Way to See History

I have always had a infatuation when it came to old artifacts and history. However, it has not always been easy to have the opportunity to attend any museums or galleries that displays all the beautiful gems of old times. Now from the comfort of your own home there is a new way to visit the National Museum of Natural History.

In this website link here , there is so much you are able to do! You are able to take tours of exhibits , learn about the natural history and even donate!

“Your gift to the museum supports scientific research, the creation of world-class exhibitions, and award-winning educational programs for everyone. We are the world’s largest natural history museum and we rely on people like you to help us continue to lead the way in understanding our planet and its cultures.” (National Museum of Natural History).

My favorite exhibit to connect with was “Lights out Recovering the Night Sky”. While it wasn’t a huge experience it was a very meaningful one. I personally like that it have you examples on how to view the night sky and see all the beauty it has. It also suggested ways to prevent pollution from doing further damage!

“Through over 100 photographs, nearly 250 objects, interactive experiences, tactile models, and a theater program, discover why dark nights matter, rekindle your connection with the night sky, and consider how much light at night is enough—for whom, for what purpose, and who gets to decide?” (Night sky: © Babak Tafreshi, TWAN)

I love that there was so many options to choose from, 360 cities and even the historical option of 9/11! This has changed the way we can view and experience history.
