Communication in the Classroom

I learned from reading the Sail the 7 C’s with Microsoft Education textbook that an important key factor in education is communication. In the school setting, staff and students over communicate with each other so everyone is informed and aware about what’s important. Schools do not want anyone to feel misinformed or excluded by any means.

Educators need to have clear and effective communication with the course content for the students. This enables students to go to other people throughout the community, the country, or the world to spread their knowledge and teachings. This is a case of monkey see, monkey do.

Microsoft has developed programs and adapted them to help enhance communication in the classroom. Some of these programs include:

  • Immersive Reader
  • Translator
  • Minecraft
  • Powerpoint
  • Sway
  • Forms
  • Teams
  • Flipgrid
  • Skype

These communicators do not need to be just for students who require accommodations and modifications in the school setting. These devices can be utilized by all students to embrace more equality in the classroom. This also doesn’t make any student feel singled out because of the certain accommodations they may need.

Thanks for reading!
