Discovery Education is an interactive platform that can be used in the classroom. Discovery Education allows students to go on virtual field trips at no cost. These trips are entirely free, and have no fees or permission slips. This platform is targeted for grades K-12 and brings the classroom to life. Discovery Education offers ways to help educate students aside from the normal textbook work and lesson plans. Discovery brings ways to learn more about the world while staying in the comfort of your own classroom. 

The Benefits

Discovery Education has many benefits in the classroom, the main reason being virtual field trips. Virtual field trips are the biggest benefit and most popular way of utilizing the platform by educators. I chose Discovery Education as a program to overlook because the experiences that students can gain from these virtual field trips are like no other. These field trips can benefit students who may be in need, just as it is an easy way to get students to interact without leaving the classroom. Discovery Education allows you to select the field of study you want to take a trip in, as each trip includes hands-on learning activities, and a guide for assistance. These packages are useful for the classroom, and bring the trips to the kids at no cost. Discovery offers field trips in a lot of different subjects and areas of study that can interest all students, with no cost.

Overview

Overall, Discovery Education contains many benefits to be useful in the classroom. As an education major, I am definitely going to consider using this program in my classroom. I think it is a very convenient, and richful program to use as an educator. This is one of the best ways to make learning more interesting and intriguing for not only the students, but educators as well. With all of the different subject and content areas, Discovery Education has a place for everyone.
