After scrolling on Twitter using the #MSFTEduChat, I found a woman named Nathalie, an English Teacher in France. She posted this photo about “blended learning.”

What exactly is “Blended Learning”?

Blended Learning is a method of teaching involving traditional in-person classrooms and Online Learning. Having the combination of both allows the students to customize their learning experiences. Here are the top three common forms of blended Learning:

  • Distanced Learning: the student is not physically present during the lesson(s)
  • Hybrid Learning: when the teacher incorporates the same amount of face-to-face as online
  • Flipped classrooms: the student learns the topic at home and reinforces it with homework or assignments while in school.

Blended Learning can benefit all parties involved, parents, students, and teachers. Our children must have an education like this since technology is the now and will continue to expand. Being familiar with this educational experience will prepare young students for a successful college and job experience since only some things are done face-to-face.
