In the Flipgrid article that I found on twitter, they mention how the program was first created for one class at the University of Minnesota. Since then many teachers and educators jumped on in order to connect to classrooms about the world.

#Gridpals, is a global hashtag that is shared around the world in order to make connections. Flipgrid allows for Global Community Connection. Teachers are able to connect with other teachers in order to come together and collaborate using videos.

Students, as well as teachers are getting connected all around the globe. A kindergarten class from Iowa was able to connect to a kindergarten class in Sudan through Flipgrid. Flipgrid is a great and safe teaching tool for teachers and students to build global connections.
