I watched the movie Parasite and they speak Korean throughout the movie. The movie is about two families who come from very different backgrounds. One family is very wealthy, the Park family, while the other family, the Kim family,  lives in poverty. The message behind the movie is conflict between classes. The movie is set in Seoul. The Kim family lives in the basement of a building while the Parks own a beautiful house. The Kim’s work various jobs to pay the bills, one being working for the Parks. Since the movie is based in South Korea, the culture is very different from ours. Some of the movie was filmed inside the Kims “home”. The set up of the room is something we do not see in America. The family of four all live in one room and the toilet is above ground. The food that they eat is also different from food in America. Scent is mentioned many times throughout the movie. The air quality is nowhere near the same as ours. the Parks mother mentions how it is hard to breath with all of the pollution. They all have cell phones and use cars for transportation.
