Something that I thought was interesting and would be good to bring to the classroom was the issue cards and volunteer now. I think both had great ideas and could be a welcome addition to any fifth grade class since that’s what I plan on teaching. With the issue cards my idea is to welcome any fifth grade inside or outside of my class to create these cards. As a class come together and create new ways to combat certain problems like accessibility for students with disabilities. While also dealing with the major problem of cyber bullying which can collect first hand experiences from students and find new ways to combat it. It could almost be like a Q&A setting where students ask the questions and other students and staff provide the answers. The last one I looked into was volunteer now which can help students find confidence with themselves while also creating volunteer events to help their community or others. This gets student involved in the community and become an integral part within it.
