This week, I took the time to look over the “We Teacher” modules. These modules focus on mental health, trauma, bullying, etc. Each topic has a module and a course to look at with a ton of information. I first looked at the Introduction to the “Trauma-Informed Classrooms module.” This is a free program for teachers across the United States to use to find information regarding social issues students faced in their classrooms. I plan to view this site as a teacher to ensure I am doing everything possible for my students who need extra care. The module includes types of traumas and how to deal with them, the impact it has on students well being, and so much more. I also found it interesting they have the effects early age trauma has on a students versus an older child with trauma. Each link includes websites for more information on the topics.
