Virtual Zoo Elephant Camera

By Adalie Clothier

For my virtual field trip, I chose the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institutes webcam, specifically the elephant cam. Elephants have always been my favorite animal for as long as I can remember. Being in Galloway, the closest zoo is the Cape May Zoo, and they don’t have elephants there, so being able to see them close up, living their every day lives and watching them do it is truly so fascinating, and I could stare at it for hours. They offer webcams to watch Elephants, Giant Pandas, Cheetah Cubs, Naked mole-rats, and Lions. They are all so entertaining and beautiful. I would recommend this for all animal lovers!

  1. Hi Adalie,
I am so glad I saw this! My mom absolutely loves elephants and I just sent this to her. I also looked at the other different kinds of cameras they had there and I just think this is so cool. I could sit and have this on the background al day long while I clean, do my hobbies, or work on homework. Thank you for sharing!
