During this collaboration unit, I have read about Minecraft. Numerous students in this class have also recommended Minecraft to be used in classrooms to support collaboration with others. Minecraft: Education Edition is a page on Twitter that hosts an educational Minecraft game where students can enhance STEM skills, unleash creativity and engage students in collaboration and problem solving. This is a fantastic way for students to interact with one another while also learning new skills. MinecraftEdu has also partnered with BBC earth and has created Minecraft’s #FrozenPlanet2. In this new world, students will be able to learn about polar bears long with other animals that live in this frozen world. There is also a Monarch Butterfly Biosphere where students can learn why the monarchs are so vital to the local culture in Minecraft.
