The Distinctive Alumni Awards provide Stockton University an opportunity to recognize our best and brightest graduates, highlight impressive levels of engagement and involvement, and learn more about our University’s most valuable ambassadors: our distinctive alumni. Each award celebrates the ways in which the University’s alumni have positively influenced both Stockton and our world.

David Sholler ’06 has a bechelor of arts in communication studies from Stockton University. Previously featured in alumni news and highlights, Sholler ’06 is the vice president of communications for Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment which runs the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils. An Egg Harbor Township native, Sholler ’06 has worked his way up from a difficult childhood, to be able to raise over $10,000 for the Atlantic City Rescue Mission among other amazing accomplishments. Michael Sheeran ’02 has a bachelor of science in computer science and information systems. Sheeran ’02 has worked for Glenn Insurance for 11 years and is an account executive. He has just earned the title of certified financial planner from the CFP Board of Standards. Read more here.
Dr. Anthony Boone ’97 has a bachelor of arts in philosophy and religion from Stockton University as well as a master’s of arts, master’s of education, and a Ph. D. from Duquesne University. Boone ’97 has just been welcomed to Waynesburg University as an assistant professor of counseling. Read more here.
John Davis ’02 has a bachelor’s degree in computer science and information systems as well as a master’s degree in instructional technology from Stockton University. Davis is the superintendent of Port Republic Schools and was just hired as the permanent assistant superintendent for Egg Harbor Township. Davis has worked in several other administrative and teaching positions in various schools over the years. Read more here.
Nancy Zimmerman ’89 has a bachelor of arts in mathematics from Stockton University. Zimmerman ’89 has happily lived in Cape May County her entire life. Her family and husband all live and work locally. Zimmerman ’89 works for two Christian radio stations and enjoys photographing the local wildlife and selling her duck eggs in the community. More than 100 donors and 200 registered golfers helped raise more than $110,000 at the Stockton University Golf Classic at Stockton Seaview Hotel & Golf Club on Sept. 26. Walt’s Original Primo Pizza was the presenting sponsor.
