Congratulations to Lindsay Concordia ’12/M.S.W. ’15 who recently joined Gloucester County Special Services School District as a School Social Worker at Bankbridge Elementary School. Lindsay decided she wanted to be a social worker during her undergraduate years at Stockton, where she majored in Public Health. Through the MSW program, Lindsay completed both her undergraduate and graduate internship with the district. She was placed in different schools which gave her a diverse learning experience each year. “Everyone kept telling me it was rare to find a job that you love right after graduating; yet I am fortunate enough to have a career that I have been working towards for the past three years. It is so rewarding to know that I am capable of helping these children in their time of need. They look to me for help and guidance. Every time I speak to the students, I learn something new about them. I admire them all for being so strong! I am so lucky that I am able to support the students through the good and bad times in their lives”, she said. Concordia attributes her experiences at Stockton where she met many diverse individuals through internships and presentations to her “never judge a book by it’s cover” mentality. Stockton has shown her that you can do anything you set your mind to.
