The Toms River Township Council recently celebrated Chris Raia for more than 17 years of service as a Toms River Officer. He is described as an individual who is passionate, supportive, and helpful. Raia received his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Stockton. He has held many positions during his career including park security, auxiliary police, and even created the department’s first bicycle unit. In addition to this, he has served as adviser to the Police Explorers and created an Explorer training program. For the past 14 years, he has served as training coordinator and liaison to the township’s Auxiliary Police Unit.
Kristen (Rasinya) Sena ’08 was recently promoted to Manager for Care Management and Utilization Services at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Kristen received her Bachelors of Social Work from Stockton in 2008 and her Masters of Social Work from Monmouth University, before joining the team at Ocean Medical Center in 2009. Her responsibilities are to lead the hospital’s team who assists families throughout their stay, providing discharge planning services, referrals to community services, and counseling. Kristen is married to fellow Osprey, Nick Sena ’08.
