IRS Processes Currently Unavailable

IRS processes including the “Get Transcript Online” and “Get Transcript by Mail” functions are currently unavailable. According to the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), as a result of the government shutdown, additional services that require IRS staff processing will most certainly be delayed, if not discontinued, until Congress and the President reach an agreement to fund government operations. We are aware of the issue and appreciate your patience during this time.

The IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) continues to function, according to Department of Education officials. However, there will be a scheduled DRT outage on January 12, 2019 from 6 a.m. – 12 p.m.

For students selected for federal verification for the 18-19 academic year, our office will temporarily accept signed copies of 2016 tax returns (1040’s) in lieu of 2016 tax return transcripts and non-filing forms in lieu of non-filing letters. These documents can be emailed to finaid.docs@stockton.edu or faxed to 609.626.5517.

Please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 609.652.4203 with any questions.
