Sigma Tau Delta
Eta Rho is the Stockton University Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society. The Eta Rho chapter celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2008, and was recognized at the Society’s national meeting in St. Louis. All students at Stockton University who meet the criteria for application are welcome to apply for membership in Sigma Tau Delta. The Society aims to award distinction for high achievement in English language and literature as well as to provide cultural engagement and interest in literature on campus and in the larger community. Stockton students have presented papers at the national conference and have had writing published in the honor society’s journal. Along with the Literature club (formerly known as Idols of the Tribe), they have sponsored a variety of events including Read-Across-America, Are You Smarter than a Stockton Professor?, Chalk it Up to Literature, Better Worlds Book Drive, and the Harry Potter Read-a-thon.
