This week we used hyperdocs for one of our assignments, and I absolutely loved it! It got me thinking about how this can really transform assignments in the classroom and get students to be more interactive with what they are learning.

What is a hyperdoc?
I know that it sounds kind of intimidating, when reading and looking at the word, but I assure you that it simpler than it sounds. A hyperdoc is basically a regular document that is interactive with many different links attached to it for the student to click around on. You can add the lesson link on this page, you can add video links, game links, assessment links, anything that has to do with the topic on this page. This makes it fun and enjoyable for the students to learn, and gives them an avenue of different places that they can learn on.

Why incorporate it in your classroom?
This is a great way for students to get familiar with clicking on links and navigating through tabs, and bouncing back and forth on the internet. This also gets away from the traditional paper and pencil notes that they are so bored of taking, and reading. It is more interactive, which gets students to think more cleaver. This is a very 21st century way of teaching and is a tool that all teachers should use to be able to help their students learn not just about the subject at hand, but along with technology and how to use it.

I am going to attach two links on this blog, one about how make a lesson plan using a hyperdoc, and the other about how to engage your students using a hyperdoc!
