Hello and welcome to my blog! This week I will be discussing my reflection of the course so far. This class has been extremely beneficial to me as a student. I have been introduced to ideas and methods that I had not been aware of before this class and feel that it is going to help me both on a personal and professional level.
I was introduced to Twitter. I wrote a previous blog about my experience with Twitter. I was hesitant about creating a Twitter because I had no interest in it. Using Twitter for a professional purpose has been a great experience. Twitter has taught me that social media has many benefits besides getting “likes” and sharing all your personal information. I have enjoyed the feedback and reading other people’s comments.
I also took a course on Sustainable developmental goals. Here is where I was introduced to the 17 goals that are to be accomplished by 2030. On the website, there are suggestions and different courses on what we can do to help with the goals.
We also used Flip grid which I never used before. We haven’t had many assignments on it but I do enjoy using it. I think it’s a great way to get to know the class being that is an online course so we don’t meet for regular class sessions. I also like being able to go back to videos when I want and respond to other videos. By responding back it allows you to communicate with your classmates and share ideas or offer suggestions. This is a great app to use in and outside of the classroom with students.
